Elizabeth and James Trench Coat Dress
I think this 3-in-1 Trench Coat Dress is an intriguing idea…but I don’t love it. Sorry!
Made by Elizabeth and James (Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen), the Trench Coat Dress is a great idea but I just don’t see it catching on.
I’m thinking of the material aspect of the dress. It’s made of an 85% cotton blend but it looks to me as if it doesn’t drape very well for the dress portion, at least. It looks stuffy to me and especially with a lining made of 100% polyester – the dress would be hot as well and maybe even uncomfortable, or that creepy uncomfortable.
The cropped jacket idea is cute and I think the fact that it’s a convertible coat is great but maybe the idea hasn’t quite come full circle. But that’s just my opinion, what’s yours?
