Presents, presents and presents - oh, my!
Merry Christmas!
I love presents.
Anytime of the year and for no reason at all – those are the best ones. And it’s not the gift nor the money spent, it’s the thought that counts.
I love to receive or give a well wrapped present. It’s a beautiful thing. I sound like Bree Hodge, don’t I? The ribbon, the bow, the paper, the card, it’s all so personal and it’s meant to be that way. No one really likes to get a gift that’s stuffed into one of those dollar store gift bags. Yes, I know they’re reusable but wrapping paper can be reused, too.
I also love to go in search of the perfect present. Something that takes a little thought and maybe even a little investigating. I think a gift should be something that the person wants but would never buy for themselves or maybe doesn’t have the time to shop for themselves.
I think buying a present for someone you love is just that – reminding them in a little way that you love them every day. It’s giving a gift that’s thoughtful and it should be the icing on the cake, the something extra that they wouldn’t be expecting.
My favorite gift, which I have yet to receive, is a little blue box from, you guessed it, Tiffany & Co. Some year, I hope to get a gorgeous turquoise box with a flowing pure white ribbon, from Tiffany’s. I don’t care what’s in it because anything from Tiffany’s it would be amazing. Even their really cool keychain in the picture below.
But just in case you really are out there somewhere reading this little known post of mine, I like platinum, diamonds, aquamarine, pink diamonds, silver, chocolate diamonds, pink sapphires and white diamonds.
Gosh, that sounds like more than one piece of jewelery, doesn’t it?
Merry Christmas and Hugs,
My Favorite Things.
