Winter
Well, not really but it’s pretty!
Truthfully, I really don’t like the cold but winter is truly a beautiful time of year.
The snow brings sights and sounds not heard in other seasons. The scenery is beautiful as everything seems to come to life. When I’m driving down the road, the snow brings the trees closer to the edge of the road almost giving a closed in feeling.
When I’m outside shoveling snow, I can stop to easily hear a conversation taking place several houses down the street. The echoes and sounds are clear and crisp. And so is the air!
My dog (a beagle) loves the snow. Jumping up into a pile and then surfacing in a completely different spot. Winter seems to bring out the kid in everyone. It’s a fun time of year. Snowmen, tobogganing, snowmobiling – mittens, toques, and hot chocolate.
Winter also brings hockey of which I am a fan – go Canucks, go!
What makes winter special in your neck of the woods? I’d love to know.
Hugs,
My Favorite Things.
